This structure embodies the entanglement of assault and debris, with an endless beginning and end. Its existence is a living wound from what has died within it. I’ve applied a white cloth as a balm, without hope of salvation.

This cloth refers to sterile gauze, first woven in Gaza. For years, the people of Gaza made balms for the world’s wounds.
